Herbal House
Herbal House is an office development located in Clerkenwell, London. The original building dates from 1928 and was used by the Daily Mirror newspaper as their print press headquarters. One of the main aims of the project has been to celebrate the heritage and character of the building, where original brickwork and stone detailing have been repaired and refurbished.
Match designed the lighting to the main reception and waiting area to compliment the industrial art deco inspired concept whilst assisting the client to choose the more decorative lights to ensure a coherent yet cost compliant scheme. Elegant yet subtle spotlights were located onto the exposed concrete ceilings. Above the internal staircase suspends a beautifully designed ring of lights chandelier to capture the visitor’s attention and offers a stunning visual feature complimentary to the whole reception design. The lighting design and details were been carefully planned at each stage to ensure they were successful implementation by the contractor.
