Holland Park House
Extensive refurbishment of an elegant house in Holland Park. The project scope included lowering the lower ground floor, to improve the ceiling height, excavating a generous basement to create a self-contained 2-bed apartment and new extensions at ground and roof level to maximise the potential of the property.
The Client set a very high bar set in terms of overall design quality and integration, resulting in lighting discretely blending-in within the architecture and interiors. The adoption of high quality luminaires with excellent colour rendering properties and dim-to-warm LEDs throughout, combined with a state of the art lighting control system carefully programmed to suit the Client’s requirements, led to a lighting scheme that adapts to the moods and diverse activities of the various members of the family in an effective and effortless way, while fostering comfort and well-being.
A proactive and intense collaboration with the Client as well as with the design and construction teams, where knowledge was shared and unconventional design solutions discussed with an open mind as well as implemented with exceptional attention to detail, led to a wonderful outcome.
